Like Nezumi, he has problems with his memory too as he has no recollection or who or what he was before he was discovered after World War Two. He prefers to observe and take his time over the situation before taking the initiative. Richard, the Man from the Diogenes Club that Nezumi is protecting, is a confident, swaggering secret agent fond of high fashion and poking his nose where it isn’t wanted. ![]() It turns out that school spirit and bushido aren’t so different after all. ![]() She always knows the best way to react to a situation, even if it doesn’t seem obvious at the time. She is an extremely loyal bodyguard who always puts duty over self, even when tempted with the knowledge of her past, and is capable of some very quick thinking. Despite her schoolgirl appearance, she is a thousand years old and, as a result of such an extended life, barely has a vague recollection of her early years. In this book, however, she’s one of the main narrators. Nezumi only got a mention in a short story attached to one of the novels.
